Tigers, Suns and Birds

Thinking and talking about podcasting and also tigers and a few other things with Amy.

 

Red: can we talk about tigers and the sun? Black: we're like two birds in the park Black: yes sure Red: okay! Black: tigers suns and birds Red: all things great Black: this is Red: most definitely! Black: i'm exciting about something said one bird to the other Black: oops Red: haha Black: that's 'excited' Red: i could tell heh Black: 'hi i'm exciting'! Black: haha Red: yes you are tom! Black: soon amy we'll be talking in people's ears Black: right in their ears Black: as they ride the buses, subways Black: walk in the parks Red: as birds? Black: we'll be the little voices in their heads Black: yes Black: to keep them company Red: for all the crazy people?? Black: indeed Black: all those crazy people with the little white earbuds in their ears Red: i guess i wouldnt mind being a voice in someones head. as long as i was telling him to do fun things. Red: like jumping rope Black: yes Black: oh but not while they're waiting for the bus Red: or eating caramel apples. Black: that's a good one Black: how many can you eat? Red: if there arent any nuts, maybe two? Black: no bad Black: not bad Red: no eating caramel apples on the bus though. people will ask for some. Black: amy what's your deepest aspiration this fine day? Red: those kinds of things, you cant share. Red: my deepest aspiration is to be happy really. Red: genuinely content. Black: nice - how are succeeding with that so far? Red: its going okay, i prolly wont be too happy as soon as i have to leave for work. Red: whats yours tom? Black: oh but it would be fun if you could bring your ipod along Black: and then there would be two of you Red: oh i do have one indeed, with half the screen broken! Black: the you you and the one talking to me in your head Black: aw Black: does it still work? Red: yeah but i bought it that way at my work. for 20 bucks! hah Black: wow! great deal Black: you know i still don't have one - but i have to get one because i'm going to be podcasting my next salon portrait! Red: yeah, or else i would have paid 300 dollars for one. Red: you better get one soon tommy! Black: maybe i'll get a used one Black: indeed Red: time is a wastin away. Black: hahah Red: yeah cause the used ones get lonely you know? Black: can i go with happy too? Red: they get used and then pushed away? Red: a happy ipod? Black: as my aspiration Red: of course, but you are happy for the most part arent you? Black: yes i think so Red: every time i talk to you, you seem very upbeat Black: if im not i just kind of look around Black: being able to make paitnings a lot keeps me happy Black: it's like the two bird thing Red: yeah thats very true. Red: tom i will only be a bird if you allow me to be a peregrine falcon. Black: ah so far we haven't told anyone what this painting is about Black: wish granted Red: isnt it about two birds? Black: yes that's right Red: two birds, and im the prettier one? Red: haha kidding. Black: most certainly Black: the fair bird Red: fair can be good Black: are there bird artists? Black: with bird easels? Red: of course, i saw one just the other day! Black: nice tell me Red: he was doing a portrait of a tree branch Red: very detailed it was Black: with great focus? Red: yes, theres always gotta be a focus in paintings right? Red: or no? Black: hmm Red: or did you mean a different focus? Black: well maybe just the focus of making Red: as in he was very focused on the painting? Black: the deep concentration part of making something Red: ahh yes. Black: yes like that Black: you know when you get paint on your nose Red: yeah? Black: yes Red: red paint! Black: if you get too close to the canvas that can happen Red: yeah well i just got red paint on my nose. Black: let's jump in the paint Black: and then jump into the painting Black: everything red Red: but without black, there would be no red Red: so there has to be black yes? Black: cinammon red paint Black: ah yes Red: ohh yum, almost good enough to eat Black: so i guess i can only be red vicariously Black: but that's still good Red: vicariously isnt always a bad thing Black: it lets you lead lots of different lives in one Red: yes, whereas mine is boring, i dont think anyone would enjoy living through me. Black: alright we have to land this painting - do you know how to land paintings? Red: yeah you just have to steer the right way! Black: how does a bird know where to set down? Black: i mean birds have so many options Red: ive landed a plane once, landing a painting is childs play Red: hm, whatever looks sturdy? Black: yes an far away from hungry wolves too Red: wolves eat birs? Red: birds* Black: never thought about that Black: well it can't be the other way around Black: the wolves are bigger Red: hey, it might be! Red: some birds can grow big in size, when they feel threatened Red: well, in my imagination. but thats all that matters. Black: like big bird Black: nice yes that's where we land Black: in this imaginary place
